REMOTE: The Connected Faculty Summit provides a forum to identify and promote the best possible pedagogy, techniques and tools by faculty for online and blended learning and to help faculty design the most engaging experience for learners. Hosted by Arizona State University, REMOTE is an independent conference supported by the ASU Foundation.

Douglas Williams received a master’s degree in statistics from Arizona State University in 1998 and has been teaching there since 2000. He has taught various lower level mathematics, mathematics education and statistics courses using both the traditional and online designs. He has served on various departmental committees. Since 2012 he has been serving as the Adaptive Learning Coordinator for all the Enhanced Freshmen Mathematics (MAT 110), College Algebra (MAT 117) and College Mathematics (MAT 142) courses on all of ASU’s campuses. He has edited a chapter in a Brief Calculus textbook published by Pearson.
